Animal Kingdom Part 2

Here are some more layouts for the Animal Kingdom part of Disney World

Oops...One tag has become unglued.

What colors do you use to scrapbook a parade that is sooooo colorful?
I decided to stick to the original Mickey colors on a white background...sorry for the yucky pics.

I'm finding it hard to take good pics of my pages. I need to turn off my flash so it doesn't reflect in the pictures but then my hand is shaky so my pics are blurry. I guess I will have to fiddle with my camera stand next time.

Animal Kingdom

Our first full day at Disney World was spent at Animal Kingdom.

Oops...I see I made a mistake in my scrapbook and never fixed it.
Andy and I loved the Africa part of Animal Kingdom because it really looked like Africa...and then we saw this building with Mombasa Marketplace on it and we had to take a picture because we had been to Mombasa, Kenya in 1996. It was soo much fun.

This is one of my favorite layouts.
I scraplifted the idea off of someone on Two Peas in a Bucket (great website for ideas)
(sorry I didn't think to get the name of the lady of came up with this layout. Thank you to whoever you are)

Disney World 2006

I had a hard time trying to decide what to blog about. I haven't blogged that much about scrapbooking so I thought I would blog a little more about Disney World.

We visited Disney World in 2006. It all started when we were visiting Keith and Krista (of course) and we told them how we wanted to go to Disney Land. Well being the Disney addict that she is, Krista jumped on board. She ended up finding this deal in Disney World for about the same amount as what we were going to be paying in Disney Land. The only down side was that the deal was for August.

I know these are not traditional Disney colors...

...but they matched the hotel colors (LOL).

Yes, we have matching T-shirts. This was the first time and I think we have only missed one year doing this (because I was a bit of a grump that year and said no).

A little fun

Before I get to the questionnaire I need to tell you about some dreams I have been having. Recently I have been having a lot of pain in my hip (my new sore point). I usually sleep on my left hip and that is the hip that I have the pain in. So sometimes it hurts so much I dream about it. In my first dream, I was so excited because I got a new cane for Christmas. It was so pretty! This morning I had a dream that we were visiting my cousin Pat in Phoenix (didn't know you lived there Pat). Oma was there too and she had to tell me that it was just constipation that was causing the pain in my hip. LOL! These kind of dreams I like. Too funny!

I have received quite a few questionnaire via email lately. I thought instead of emailing them on I would pick one and post it here instead.

So...how did it go?

It was a great day. We had about 19 ladies turn out for the Christmas Card Workshop.

Friday night Mary and I set up. It took about 2 hours of carrying tables up from the basement of the rec center, set up the tables and the stations at each table. Each lady made 2 cards of each design and there were 10 designs. Every table had one card design and 2 ladies worked at each table.

We officially started the workshop at 10:00 am Saturday. Mary provided snacks and Taco Salad for lunch. The last ladies left at 6:15 pm that evening and unfortunately most ladies didn't finish all the cards. Mary was scheduled to have a scrapbook workshop at the same location next weekend so I think most of the ladies will return to finish their cards.

This is Mary's design. What a talented lady

Another of Mary's designs

and another!

This card was made by one of the ladies attending the workshop.
She has discovered how to embroider on cards.
Isn't it beautiful.

This is one of my designs

Now for the run down of how I am feeling...because I know my mom is wanting to know and is hoping I will blog about it.

I had a lot of fun. It was a lot of work cutting and preparing...but I enjoy that. I wasn't nervous because Mary holds a scrapbook workshop every month...she is soooo organized. It was a lot of work setting up and taking down. And it was a lot of work helping out through the day. Would I do it again? No...unfortunately it was too much and I was incredibly sick yesterday. I didn't expect to get sick...I expected to be tired and sore. I was scheduled to volunteer in the nursery at church during 1st service. I had planned on staying for the 2nd service but during worship it hit me that I needed to go home. It seems that since September my Fibromyalgia is worse than it has been for a while...and it seems to be the same with mom. Maybe it is because of the stronger flu/cold bugs around.

I am glad that I helped with the workshop. It was a great experience. Now I need to rest so I can start creating my own christmas cards.

I apologize to anyone who was visiting my blog around 9:30 this morning. I was trying to add my playlist and accidently hit save instead of cancel and some not-so-pleasant music with not-so-pleasant words started playing on my blog. YUCK! YUCK. Again, I apologize!!!!!
